A Spirit-Filled Campus

College can be a time of great personal spiritual development. At Lee, everything we do is centered around our faith in Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. In the classroom, during chapel, in campus life, or while serving others, we are fully engaged in conversations about why our faith matters in the context of learning.

Lee is consistently ranked as one of the most affordable Christian colleges in America. In addition to our low tuition, our students on average receive over $13,800 in merit- and need-based grant aid.

Caring Faculty

On annual national surveys, students rate Lee faculty miles ahead of the pack in terms of engagement. Our dedication to effective teaching, compassionate advising, and student success are helping us stand out compared to our peers across the country.

Preparation for Success

Our alumni leave Lee ready to achieve their goals and establish themselves in their chosen careers. But that is not enough for us. We want alumni to recognize their gifts and be equipped to use them to make the world a better place.

Lee’s emphasis on professor involvement was so important to me. My professors invested in my journey more than I ever thought possible. They counseled me through grad school choices and applications, gave feedback on my work, and are people I happily call my friends. Now that I’m moving on to grad school, I look back at Lee as home.

Lee has a great community feel, where people come around you and help you on your walk of life. Lee strives for excellence, which is challenging and inspiring to me. The Lord does not call us to perfection, but to excellence. Lee is focused on this and teaches students this as well. It’s evident in the quality of the Lee experience.

Originally, I didn’t want to go to Lee, but God wanted me there, so I reluctantly enrolled. In the first week, I fell in love with Lee University. The opportunities to connect, learn, and grow are everywhere. Now, I have a degree and no regrets. Lee’s campus is not only where I gained an education, it’s where I became a better person.

Expect Something Great

We have a phrase around Lee, Expect Something Great. We think the college experience should be much more than just academic excellence. At Lee, we expect our students to experience transformational relationships with faculty, with other students, in campus life, and as they move into their calling. Students tell that story best, and this video will give you a glimpse of some of their experiences.

We Are Lee University

Lee is a Christ-centered campus in Cleveland, Tennessee, which is in the lush Tennessee River Valley near Chattanooga. Over 5,000 students study in one of our 100+ bachelor's, master's, and doctoral-level degrees, but our focus for a century has been the traditional undergraduate student. Well over half of our undergrads live on our gorgeous 122-acre campus, perennially among the safest campuses in Tennessee, according to TBI statistics. Our faculty boast advanced degrees from some of the nation's most prestigious and exceptional research universities and seminaries. Lee not only rates highly among similar institutions across the nation, but we've also been cited as a leader among institutions of all sizes for our affordability and our exceptional programs in service-learning, study abroad, and most recently in student engagement (Wall Street Journal).
